最終のご案内は15時半から。
特別な場合を除き原則16時半に閉場します。

The Kita-tei welcomes guests on Friday, between 11:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Weekend openings are on irregular basis.

Last tour begins at 3:30 pm. Gallery will close at 4:30 pm unless previous arrangements have been requested.  Reservations can be made up to one month in advance.

2022年7月より一般公開を開始。約100年に及ぶ喜多邸の歴史の中で、一般公開は初めての試みとなります。

旧喜多邸は2021年より北欧ヴィンテージを取り扱うギャラリー Relevant Object の展示スペースとして活用されています。美術館レベルのデザイナー家具や暮らしに関わる器小物、アートの展示をお楽しみいただけます。（展示品は販売もしています。）

母家は日本のモダニズムの先駆者である藤井厚二が、西洋のデザインを日本の環境とライフスタイルに適応させ、1926年に完成させた住宅です。その一部は増改築されているものの、竣工当時のままの部分は保存状態も極めて良く、藤井厚二の住宅建築を現代において体感できる貴重な建物です。

旧喜多邸では時間の流れが不思議と止まっています。受け継がれてゆくに値するオブジェたちは時空を漂っているかのように。

The Gen’itsu Kita Residence (kita-tei) opens for public guided tour for the first time.

The Kita-tei is furnished by Relevant Object with mostly vintage Scandinavian furniture.  Although the display is always changing, you can expect to discover a few museum quality pieces during your visit. (Items on display are also available for purchase.)

The Kita Residence was completed in 1926 by Koji Fujii, a pioneer of Japanese modernism, adapting Western design to the Japanese environment and lifestyle. We are open to dialogue.

Time, at the Kita-tei, has a mysterious way of standing still.  Time is suspended in objects worthy of preservation.

旧喜多邸の小一時間ほどのご案内は、登録有形文化財に指定されている１階部分および２階となります。藤井厚二の貴重な初期の住宅設計を体験できるツアーは、初めてのお客様に最適です。

室内には冷暖房設備がありません。冬の時期は室内も冷えますので、寒さ対策を講じてのご来訪をお勧めいたします。共用のスリッパをご用意しておりますが、ご持参いただいても結構です。

Perfect for first-time guests, this one-hour tour visits two floors of Prof. Kita’s original residence and treats visitors to a rare glimpse of one of the earliest Koji Fujii designed residences.

The rooms are not equipped with a modern air conditioning. Please dress warm and take measures to protect yourself from the cold during the winter. Slippers for common use are available; however, you may bring your own slippers.
